StrataCore Energy LLC is partnering with a Nigerian private-sector project developer to advance the Nigeria Renewable AI & Digital Infrastructure Corridor (NRAIDC) in Lokoja, Kogi State. The project is being developed as an integrated renewable energy and digital infrastructure platform designed to support AI computing, cloud services, hyperscale data centres, high-performance computing and other mission-critical digital infrastructure.
Initial 175 MW of dedicated renewable hydropower capacity providing reliable, scalable energy for digital infrastructure and data center operations.
Utility-scale solar generation complementing hydropower and providing additional renewable energy capacity for the digital infrastructure platform.
Phase I digital infrastructure campus designed for AI computing, cloud services, hyperscale data centers and other mission-critical computing applications.
Grid-scale battery storage supporting energy management, system flexibility, renewable integration, power quality, and operational resilience.
NRAIDC is being developed as an integrated infrastructure platform combining reliable renewable energy, energy storage, digital infrastructure and strategic connectivity. Power generation, transmission, fibre connectivity, water and cooling infrastructure, site infrastructure and digital facilities are planned as a coordinated ecosystem.
Reliable Renewable Energy + Digital Infrastructure + Strategic Connectivity
Expansion of the initial 200 MW platform toward the project’s planned 750 MW renewable generation capacity, supporting additional data center development and large-scale digital infrastructure.
Expansion of hydroelectric capacity from the initial 175 MW to approximately 725 MW, providing large-scale renewable power for expanded data center and digital infrastructure development.
Expansion of the initial 200 MW data center campus to support additional AI computing, cloud services, hyperscale data centers and other mission-critical digital infrastructure.
Additional power infrastructure and regional connectivity developed alongside expanded hydropower capacity to support data center growth toward the project’s planned 750 MW renewable generation capacity.
Located near the confluence of the Niger and Benue Rivers, the project is positioned within one of Nigeria’s most significant river systems. The planned barrage will harness the river’s renewable energy potential while providing the foundation for large-scale digital infrastructure development.
Lokoja sits at the confluence of the Niger and Benue Rivers, placing the project at the heart of one of West Africa’s major river systems. The location combines significant renewable-energy potential with a strategic position for development of large-scale digital infrastructure.
The planned barrage and supporting infrastructure are intended to provide scalable renewable power for data centers, AI computing and other energy-intensive digital applications.
The Nigeria Renewable AI & Digital Infrastructure Corridor is being advanced as a private-sector-led, phased infrastructure development integrating renewable power generation, energy storage, digital infrastructure and regional connectivity. The project is being developed toward internationally recognized technical, environmental, social and financial standards to support long-term infrastructure investment and project financing.
Development of the planned barrage, complementary solar generation and battery energy storage to provide scalable, reliable renewable power.
Development of hyperscale-ready digital infrastructure supporting AI computing, cloud services, data centers and other high-performance computing applications, with scalable power and connectivity designed for phased expansion.
Engagement with technology companies, infrastructure providers, investors and prospective power consumers to support phased project development, financing and long-term strategic partnerships.
NRAIDC is progressing through a structured development program addressing technical feasibility, environmental and social requirements, energy and digital infrastructure planning, and project-finance readiness.
